How to Use This Scanner

Scanning Methods

  • Upload: Click "Upload Image" to select a screenshot or saved photo. Crop tightly around the QR code for best results.
  • Permissions: Allow camera access when prompted. The scanner processes everything locally; no images are sent to any server.

Understanding Results

  • UPI ID (VPA): The recipient's unique payment address (e.g., name@bank).
  • Payee Name: Verified name associated with the UPI ID.
  • Amount: Pre-filled transaction amount if specified in the QR.
  • Raw Data: The complete upi:// string. Useful for debugging or manual entry.

Troubleshooting

No QR Found Increase brightness, reduce glare, or crop the image closer to the code before uploading.
Camera Error Check browser permissions. Ensure no other app is using the camera. Try switching browsers.
Wrong Details Verify the source QR. Some merchant QRs contain proprietary formats not following standard UPI specs.
Slow Detection Hold the camera steady. For uploads, use PNG/JPG under 5MB for faster processing.

Note: This tool extracts information only. It does not initiate payments. Always verify payee details in your official UPI app before transferring funds.
